Aromatic, sweet and bright flavour, this stone ground Chinese summer crop Matcha is produced in Zhejiang Province, China, using shaded summer crop tea leaves.
Carefully stone ground into a fine powder, this famous Chinese green tea variety was originally developed for Dragonwell (Longjing) tea.
Ingredients: 100% Matcha Green Tea Stone Ground
Characteristics of this Matcha include:
- Aroma: Fresh, sweet, with notes of chestnut, toasted grains and spring greens
- Taste: Brighter and more vegetal than premium Japanese matcha, with moderate umami, a pleasant sweetness and a slightly more pronounced astringency
How To Prepare:
Add 1tsp (2g) of matcha to a cup (This can be sieved).
Pour in 60ml of hot water (about 80°C, not boiling) or to personal taste.
Whisk in zigzag (“W”) motion until smooth and frothy.
Enjoy as is or top up with hot water or steamed milk for a matcha latte
Common Mistakes
Using boiling water = bitter taste
Not whisking enough = clumps
Store away from light, moisture and strong odours.
