We are proud to introduce our Single Origin Decaffeinated Coffee from Peru.
This is a rich and nutty coffee with chocolate notes and a clean finish. We detect a slight citrus note there too.
A medium body with low acidity, it makes a fabulous and versatile coffee to be enjoyed in many ways from drop filter to espresso.
This is a Fairtrade coffee from a co-operative that truly believes in teamwork. Coffee is grown on individual farms who are committed to producing and selling quality coffee in harmony with the environment. They provide members with training and education about sustainability and agricultural practices, bringing together individual farmers with an aim to sell their coffee at better prices and improve their quality of life.
Decaffeinated using the CO2 process, also known as the ‘Sparkling Water’ process. First discovered by Kurt Zosel at the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research in 1967 as he was looking at new ways of separating mixtures of substances. It is a gentle, natural and organically certified process which guarantees a high retention level of coffee components which contribute to the individual taste and aroma. It is because of this; we feel it is a great decaffeination process for single origin beans.
Packed in re-sealable and recyclable bags with a one-way vent to maximise the freshness of your coffee.
How to Make
Your beans should be ground to suit your preferred brewing method. A coarse grind is perfect for a cafetiere. Use a medium grind for a drip filter method and a fine grind for an espresso. Try to brew your coffee straight after grinding to get maximum flavour.
Hot to Store
Once opened, store in a cool dry place our of direct sunlight. Consume within 2 weeks.
